The day was spent on Orust and Tjörn on the Swedish west coast to collect data for the project Climate Invasives. Water samples were collected on different locations and filtered on site for later eDNA analysis in order to detect and map invasive species in the area.

The clinging jellyfish (Gonionemus vertens) and the brush-clawed shore crab (Hemigrapsus takanoi) are two examples of invasive species originating from the pacific region. Both species can be found on some locations on the Swedish west coast, and were both collected on site during this day.
